MSU WHARTON CENTER FOR THE ARTS & FINDING NEVERLAND MUSICAL: https://www.whartoncenter.com/events/detail/finding-neverland Excited for our Spring Production of Peter Pan JR? Learn the back story of the author, J.M Barrie and what inspired him to pen one of the most magical stories of all time! Based on the Academy Award®-winning film of the same name, this breathtaking show follows playwright J.M. Barrie as he summons the courage to become the writer – and the man – he yearns to be. Barrie finds the inspiration he’s been missing when he meets the beautiful widow Sylvia and her four young sons: Jack, George, Michael and Peter. Delighted by the boys’ hilarious escapades, Barrie conjures the magical world of Neverland and writes a play unlike any the high-society London theatergoers have ever seen. It’s a tremendous risk, but as Barrie himself has discovered—“When you believe, you can fly.”Packed with mesmerizing visuals, irresistible songs and plenty of laughs, FINDING NEVERLAND is a timeless story about the power of imagination… and spectacular proof that you never really have to grow up. EXPERIENCE MSU - BRODY SQUARE DINING HALL: https://www.awesomemitten.com/brody-square-dining-hall-mittentrip/ . Brody Square comprises almost the entire second floor of Brody Hall, and the impressively spacious dining area provides a nearly endless variety of colorful open, private, booth, café, and other styles of seating. An executive chef oversees nine independent venues within the dining hall, each with a recurring item or concept, and the menus change daily. Homestyle serves American cuisine, such as rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes, while Pangea and Boiling Point offer build-your-own stir-fry or pasta bowl, respectively. Veg Out provides vegetarian meal options, and S2: Salad and Sushi has exactly what the name implies. If you have any room left after your all-you-can-eat meal, Dolce features Hudsonville ice cream, smoothies, cakes, cookies, and other freshly baked treats for dessert. Fundraising Ideas: As this is an optional trip, there won’t be a formal group fundraiser to finance cost. Here are a few ideas that many students and families have found to be helpful in the payment process in the past:
Adult Chaperones: We are in need of Adult Chaperones to attend and assist with students. An Adult Chaperone must be 18 years or older (not a high school sibling). Chaperones may be a parent, relative or family friend. If you would like to attend as a Chaperone please complete the Chaperone Page, Criminal History Form and send in payment along with student paperwork and payment by the October deadline. Chaperone Requirements:
As we are taking a charter bus, there are 54 seats per bus. If more than 54 people wish to attend, we may need to add a 2nd bus, which may adjust the cost per person. This would be a fairly minimal change (no more than $3-5 per person), but do want to make you aware in advance. Will keep all attendees up to date on this status soon after final numbers are in. If we have enough interest to fill the 2nd bus, there will be no change in price. Mrs. Ross will confirm with all participants once final numbers are in. Thanks for understanding! Trip Cancellations: RPMS is not able to issue a refund for the trip. However, seat/tickets may be transferred to another interested participant. Students and/or adult will be responsible to find someone to purchase the seat/ticket from them in the event they need to cancel. Please direct Trip questions to Deidra Ross [email protected] 744-4721 Ext. 4401 Due Date: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 20th 2017 Participation Contract, Criminal History Form (Adult Chaperones only) & PAYMENT HARD COPY FORMS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE CHOIR ROOM!
